Andrea Lee is a Los Angeles native, born in the month of August 1998. She began playing golf at the age of 5 with the help of her father James. Over the course of four years she racked up 50 junior championships. This year's US Women's Open was her first major cut. It was her 15th birthday and her father acted as her caddie. Lee was invited by sponsors for the year 2015 ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour but missed the cut by one shot. Lee was awarded the Mark H. McCormack medal for 2019 after she finished with the top ranking amateur. In her amateur career, Lee achieved four holes in one and one albatross. Her top-10 finish was two times during her debut season as a player on the LPGA Tour. She was a T7 finisher in the 2020 AIG Women's Open held at Kingsbarns Golf Links.
